STRATEGIES FOR PAIN RELIEF
Strategies for pain relief that I teach are auto-suggestion, emotional scaling, and tapping therapy. These are strategies designed to teach you, over a short period of time, usually four to six sessions, to minimize or eliminate your own ongoing physical discomfort.
AUTO-SUGGESTION
The purpose of auto-suggestion is to teach you to use your mind’s ability to deal positively with your very real physical discomfort either by reducing it, eliminating it entirely, changing the meaning of it, or changing the sensations it produces in your body.
EMOTIONAL SCALING
Emotional scaling is designed to teach you a strategy for adjusting the intensity of both physical and emotional discomforts by changing the way you perceive them.
TAPPING THERAPY
Tapping therapy employs a combination of Oriental acupressure techniques and Western psychology to reduce or eliminate the psychological components of physical discomfort, unwanted habits, and negative emotions.
